PodChatLive is the weekly live chat for the continuing education of Podiatrists as well as other people that may be interested. It goes live on Facebook and after that is later added to YouTube. Every live show includes a different guest or group of guests to talk about a unique theme every time. Questions are replied to live by the hosts and guests throughout the livestream on Facebook. Also there is a PodCast recording of every episode offered on iTunes as well as Spotify and the other usual podcast resources. They've gained a substantial following which continues to grow. PodChatLive can be considered one of many ways through which podiatrists can get free continuing education credits. The show is hosted by Craig Payne from Australia and Ian Griffiths from England.

For each episode there is usually one guest talking about there area of expertise or there is one topic with several guests addressing that topical area. One of the topics that was previously discussed was one of patellofemoral pain. The guests in that episode were the physiotherapists, Simon Lack and Brad Neal and the Podiatrist, Alice Corbett. They all work with one of the hosts, Ian Griffiths in the UK and all happen to be at the same conference so the show took advantage of having them all together in one place. They discussed the issue of if patellofemoral pain is due to proximal or distal influences and how to choose an intervention depending on which or both that might be an issue. A lot may depend on your professional biases and belief system. The intervention may involve foot orthotic if it is being influenced local or it might involve hip exercises and gait retraining is the problem is considered proximal. Different runners are going to respond to different interventions or treatments for their knee pain depending on what the primary problem is.
