Remi Mathis a french volunteer and chairman for Wikipedia France was arrested by french intelligence (DCRI former DST) on 4 March 2013.

French intelligence DCRI against Wikipedia
Michelle Paulson, the legal advisor of Wikipedia foundation found no ground to the allegations of national security threats though she seriously investigated the matter. No information the DCRI could consider classified or otherwise high-risk was found in the article.
Paulson declares :
“The Direction Centrale du Renseignement Intérieur (DCRI) requested that we delete the article in its entirety under the claim that it contained classified military information. I responded to Direction Centrale du Renseignement Intérieur, requesting more detailed information because it was not apparent what classified information the article could possibly contain from a plain reading of the article. The Direction Centrale du Renseignement Intérieur repeatedly failed to provide any further information and simply continued to make a general takedown demand, despite my explanation that we could not remove the information without more information from them. Eventually, I had no choice but to refuse their request until they are willing to provide me with more information so that I can properly evaluate their claim under legal standards. The community remains free, of course, to retain or remove the article as it sees fit. But at this point, we do not see a demonstrated reason to remove it on legal grounds.”
Remi Mathis, as a french citizen and a library curator at BNF, the French National Library, thought that he had no other choice than to obey to his country’s intelligence services and deleted the article under threats of immediate sanctions though no jurisdiction nor any court order was notified.
Since then the article was republished by another member of Wikipedia on april 5th, Inisheer felt his duty was to restore truth until a court order was legally notified to the foundation.
A source close to french intelligence reveals that the article was considered a threat to french national security because disclosing the role of Military radio station of Pierre-sur-Haute in case of major nuclear conflict.
